Book Pirating Is Not OK

I am abso-fucking-lutely appalled buy the number of people that would knowingly go to a pirated site and download an authors book. The book is not "FREE" its theft of the authors work.

It takes hours for an author to write these wonderful books. Hours from their family and lack of sleep. Then the cost involved for the editing, cover, formatting, paperbacks, promoting, swag. You name it that's a cost that comes out of the authors own pocket.

Now posting a book to Amazon. A $0.99 ebook only nets the author $.30. From there whatever the cost of the book is and what the author sets they make either 30% or 70% off that book.

Some authors may not see a return on their investment because of just the time alone that is out into the books, social media and whatnot. Its a lot of hard work. You get these wonderful books and have a temper tantrum. OMG! The book costs $4.99 and you refuse to pay it. How about a book that costs $3.99 or $2.99. Even the books that are $0.99 you will as the reader refuse to pay. But will go spend however much on your delicious cup of coffee.

This is an authors job that they would love to do full time. However it takes a lot of time and effort. Most authors work another job just so they can afford to put out these books we so love to read.

Please do not get a book from a non reputable site.

Paperback books can be purchased in many different locations. Do not steal an authors work. If its free on Amazon the author chose to basically gift the book. It's not theft and a lot of the time authors will drop the price of their books or put one for free.
